Nestled in the heart of Somerset’s rolling countryside, Atherstone Farmhouse & Cottage is a beautifully restored 17th-century Grade II listed retreat on the historic Dillington Estate. With traditional charm and modern comforts, this idyllic property offers the perfect escape for families, friends, or couples seeking peace, luxury, and rural beauty.

The accommodation sleeps up to 14 guests across two adjoining properties: Atherstone Farmhouse with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and Atherstone Cottage with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Both can be rented together or separately, with lockable internal doors allowing flexible group arrangements.

Welcomed by charming features such a thatched roof, oak beams, and stone floors, you can expect two spacious living areas to both relax and entertain or simply settle in with a movie on the 55” Smart TVs.

Two fully equipped kitchens ensure you have everything you could possibly need throughout your stay, including, a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster microwave and coffee machine. Utility rooms with washers and dryers add that extra touch of convenience to your stay. 

Farmhouse Sleeping Accommodations

• Bedroom 1: Ground floor bedroom featuring a king-sized four-poster bed, a roll-top bath, and a cosy wood-burning stove, all within the bedroom itself. It also includes a private en-suite.
• Bedroom 2: Option of a super king-sized double or twin single beds. It also includes a children’s bunk bed and a family bathroom fitted with a bath and overhead shower.
• Bedroom 3: Can be configured as super king-sized doubles or twin singles. Ensuite with walk-in shower.
• Bedroom 4: Can also be configured as super king-sized double or twin singles. Ensuite with walk-in shower.

Cottage Sleeping Accommodations

• Bedroom 5: Offers a king-sized bed and a luxurious bathroom with cast-iron roll-top bath and walk-in shower.
• Bedroom 6: Can be configured as a super king-sized double or twin singles, and its en-suite is a sleek shower wetroom.

Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious enclosed garden with BBQ, teak furniture, and a hot tub. It’s an idyllic place to relax and watch the sunset on warmer evenings.

Up to three well-behaved pets are welcome for an additional fee, though they’re kindly asked to stay off furniture and out of bedrooms.

Set within the 3,000-acre Dillington Estate, guests can explore scenic bridleways, footpaths, and nearby pubs. The market town of Ilminster is just a short drive away for shopping and dining.
