Little Bank

Little Bank at Dillington Estate is a beautifully renovated former estate cottage nestled in the heart of Somerset’s countryside. Once the office and “bank” for the estate’s monthly wages, this characterful property has been transformed into a luxurious rural retreat, sleeping up to 8 guests across four stylish en-suite bedrooms.

Guests are welcomed to the south-facing terrace and floral garden which offers a tranquil setting for al fresco dining, complete with a charcoal BBQ, fire pit, and outdoor lounge. The spacious driveway has private parking for four cars. A wood-fired hot tub sits on the upper tier of the garden, overlooking the orchard and surrounding parkland – the perfect place to soak up some bubbles as the sun sets around you. 

Inside, the open-plan kitchen and dining area features exposed roof trusses and a loft-style layout, with a glass wall that brings the outdoors in and fills the space with natural light. 

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you could need for your stay including a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also an adjacent utility room which houses a washer and dryer for ultimate convenience.

A large dining table offers a great space for family and friends to gather and enjoy a hearty breakfast or a homemade evening meal. 

This inviting living space seamlessly combines period character with contemporary style. At its heart, a wood-burning stove framed by a striking brick chimney sets a warm, rustic tone, while plush sofas offer the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.

For movie nights, Little Bank features a 55” internet-connected TV that discreetly retracts into the furniture when not in use, paired with a Bluetooth soundbar for immersive sound and seamless streaming.

There are four beautifully renovated bedrooms, all located on the ground floor and each with its own private bathroom. Thoughtfully designed for comfort and flexibility, every room can be arranged as either twin beds or super-king doubles. 

Two of the bathrooms offer sleek walk-in showers, one includes a bath with an overhead shower, and another boasts a freestanding cast iron tub for a touch of indulgence. Each bathroom is stocked with soft robes, quality body wash and shampoo, and separate towels are provided for use in the wood-fired hot tub.

• Dogs are permitted in the property but please note there is an additional cleaning fee and we kindly request that dogs are kept off furniture and out of the bedrooms.
• Travel costs and highchairs can be made available upon request. 

With miles of footpaths on your doorstep, a farm shop just a minute’s walk away, and several excellent pubs nearby, Little Bank is the perfect base for exploring Somerset’s hidden gems while enjoying the comforts of a thoughtfully curated countryside escape.
