Smiddy is a charming, character-rich cottage named after its historic role as the village "hub," where the blacksmith once shared news and gossip with passing locals. Today, it serves as the hub of your holiday, offering high ceilings, exposed brickwork, and distinctive wooden beams, all beautifully framed by a romantic spiral staircase visible from the galleried landing.

An impressive open-plan living space offer both comfort and style, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy time together, whether you’re settling in front of the wood-burning stove to enjoy a movie or gathering at the table for a family meal. 

The kitchen comes fully equipped with a full range of amenities, including and oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and guests have access to a communal washing and dryer. 

The sleeping accommodation is spread across two floors:

Ground Floor

  • Bedroom 1: Super king which can be configured as a twin upon request. 

First Floor 

  • Bedroom 2: Double bedroom which is access via the spiral staircase. 

Both bedrooms are served by a ground floor Jack and Jill bathroom which has a bath and separate shower cubicle, that can also be accessed from the lounge.

The outdoor area features a well-appointed patio with comfortable furnishings, a picnic bench, a secluded private garden, and a barbecue setup perfect for alfresco dining.
