Bursting with character, this spacious 17th-century converted stone barn, originally built in 1685 and beautifully converted in the mid-1980s, accommodates up to six guests, making it perfect for families or small groups of friends.
Upon entering Tawnawood, you are welcomed into a picture-perfect living space that exudes warmth and charm. A large fireplace with a slate hearth and wood burner serves as the focal point, and beamed ceilings, sumptuous sofas, and soft, natural tones create an inviting place to settle in front of the Smart TV or with a good book.
Floor-to-ceiling patio doors brighten the living room and open to a private garden. Enjoy morning coffee amid lush greenery, fire up the BBQ on warm evenings, or unwind in the bubbling wood-fired hot tub under the stars. Guests can enjoy the hot tubs at no extra cost, with a complete set of instructions provided for ease of use.
The homely shaker-style kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your stay, including an oven, hob, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, washing machine and a Nespresso coffee machine. Gather around the well-sized dining table for family meals, creating lasting memories in this delightful setting.
Upstairs there are to two spacious bedrooms, along with a double sofa bed in the living area, ideal for families with younger children. Cots and highchairs are also available upon request. The master bedroom features a king-size bed adorned with soft bedding, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The twin room, with its vanity unit and ample storage, offers lovely views across the valley.
A modern family bathroom, comes complete with a bath and over-bath power shower. Fresh towels and complimentary Made for Life Organics toiletries—including shampoo, hand soap, and body wash are provided for your comfort.
Tawnawood is committed to sustainability, featuring solar panels, a small wind turbine, and its own borehole providing deliciously fresh water. High-speed broadband is available throughout the property, ensuring you stay connected during your stay.
Tawnawood welcomes your furry friends! A dog basket, bowls, towels, and treats are provided for your pets. A pet fee of £50 applies. The cottages feature a screened, enclosed garden space which is perfect for keeping your pet safe as they enjoy the outdoors. Meeting Room & Event Space
This facility is available for booking as an additional space and offers high-speed Wi-Fi, a fridge, tea and coffee amenities, dining space, and a TV, a darts board. The space is available at a cost of £150 + VAT per day. However, if guests have booked the entire site for exclusive use, this facility, along with the upcoming sauna and spa area, and all three cottages are included in the daily rate of £1,000 per night. This space can also be booked independently on a daily basis for work, meetings, or studio use.
