Cobble Cottage, surrounded by ancient woodland with views of valleys and hills, is the perfect Cornish countryside escape. Local sights, attractions, and the stunning coastline are all within a short drive and Cardinham Woods sits right on the doorstep, offering cycling trails, walking paths, and running routes. After your adventures, relax at the lovely café serving fantastic food and drink.

Cobble is a single storey, converted 17th century barn, set within twenty acres of private land, the property sleeps up to four people which is ideal for small families. As you ascend the cobbled steps and enter, you'll find an inviting, open-plan living space full of character. Vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, and exposed Cornish stone walls create a cosy atmosphere along with a wood-burning stove. Relax on the comfortable sofas with your favourite shows on the Smart TV, or settle by the fireplace with a good book.

Adjacent to the living area, the fully equipped kitchen and dining space provide everything you need for a delightful stay. With modern appliances including an oven, stove, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, washer/dryer and a Nespresso coffee machine, you can easily prepare meals and enjoy your morning coffee. 

On warmer evenings, step outside to your private stone patio, where outdoor seating and a BBQ await. And for the ultimate relaxation, sink into the warm, bubbling waters of your wood-fired hot tub - a perfect spot to unwind under the stars and soak in the tranquility of nature. Guests can enjoy the hot tubs at no extra cost, with a complete set of instructions provided for ease of use.

As evening falls, retreat to the beautiful master bedroom with unique character touches, enjoy a sumptuous king-size bed, and relax with the peace of the countryside. There's also a double sofa bed in the living space.

The well-appointed bathroom includes a bath and an over-bath power shower, complemented by fresh towels and complimentary Made for Life Organics toiletries for your comfort.

The Cottages at Tawnamoor are committed to sustainability, featuring solar panels, a small wind turbine, and its own water borehole, providing deliciously fresh water. 

Cobble Cottage welcomes your furry friends! If you’re bringing pets along, we provide dog bowls and treats to ensure your pets feel right at home. A small pet fee of £50 applies. The cottages feature a screened, enclosed garden space which is perfect for keeping your pet safe as they enjoy the outdoors. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for dogs breeds which are not permitted. 

Things to know about the property…

• Smoking and vaping are not permitted on site.
• The cottage has designated parking and there is also secure bike and equipment storage.
• There is EV charging available for those travelling with an electric vehicle.
• The hot tubs are thoroughly sanitised with chlorine, and chemical levels are monitored daily. After each stay, they are emptied, guaranteeing fresh water for new guests. Upon arrival, the hot tub is set up and ready for use; however, please allow approximately 45 minutes to an hour for it to reach the optimal temperature. Each cottage is stocked with a supply of wood, with additional wood available for purchase if needed.

Exclusive use

The site is available to book on an exclusive basis to allow guests full use of the site in their own private Cornish retreat. Speak to our concierge team to enquire.

Meeting & Event Space

This facility is available for booking as an additional space and offers high-speed Wi-Fi, a fridge, tea and coffee amenities, dining space, a TV,  and darts board. The space is available at a cost of  £150 + VAT per day. However, if guests have booked the entire site for exclusive use, this facility, along with the upcoming sauna and spa area, and all three cottages are included in the daily rate of £1,000 per night. This space can also be booked independently on a daily basis for work, meetings, or studio use.
