Gull's Nest

Located just 50 metres from the harbour, nestled right at the heart of the picture-perfect fishing town of Mousehole, Gull’s Nest is a classic Cornish cottage which is bursting with charm and warmth. With a stone façade and duck egg blue windows you are welcomed into this idyllic retreat from which you can explore all the delights of West Cornwall. 

Making your way through a chocolate-box entrance you are greeted by a homely and inviting living space which is packed full of traditional features such as beamed ceilings, slate floors and recessed windows. 

Offering a large love seat and cosy armchair you can snuggle up in front of the wood burner and enjoy a movie or two after a busy day of adventuring around the local area, there is underfloor heating for added comfort. Within the living space, there is a rustic, country-style dining table which seats 4 people. Here you can relax and enjoy the content of your delicious welcome hamper which offers traditional scones with jam and cream along with essentials such as tea, coffee and milk.

Passing through the living room you will find a beautiful, farmhouse-style kitchen which comes equipped with everything you could need for the duration of your stay. This includes a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, air fryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and an AGA style oven. There is also an iron and ironing board for your convenience. 

Moving upstairs, the master bedroom is a truly inviting space with a comfortable king size bed, dressing table, wardrobe storage and an armchair. The period features continue in the bedroom with original wooden floors and a charming window seat where you can curl up with a good book. 

The second bedroom, whilst comfortably accommodating two adults, is the ultimate pirate den for kids. The room offers twin beds and a quirky mezzanine sleeping area which can accommodate another child, making bedtime more of an adventure. Travel cots and highchairs can also be provided upon request.

Both bedrooms are served by a main bathroom which boasts a traditional suite, including a stylish roll top bath with a shower attachment. Guests are provided with towels, linen and a hairdryer during their stay.

To the rear of the property there is a a small patio which offers guests their own private oasis to switch off and absorb the beautiful, leafy surroundings. With bistro seating and an enchanting outdoor love seat you can enjoy the fresh air and sunsets in peace and quiet. 

Things to know about the property…

• Gull’s Nest is a pet-friendly property so feel free to bring along your furry friend but please note there is a maximum of two dogs allowed and dogs are not permitted to sleep on the beds. Guests must bring their own dog bed.
• Guests can park outside the property to unload luggage and then cars can be parked in either the lay-by in the road to the village, alternatively there are car parks close by but charges will apply. 
• Due to the traditional layout of this 1800s property it is not suitable for wheelchair users
• The mezzanine bunk bed is accessed via a ladder and is not suitable for children under the age of 6.
• There is a security deposit of £50 payable on the property at the time of booking which is refundable upon satisfactory inspection post-stay.
