Perfectly blending traditional country-house charm with contemporary luxury, the Coach House may only sleep 4 guests but has heaps of space to relax and renew. Ideal as a year-round boutique bolthole, this stone-clad cottage is shrouded with beautiful walnut trees and vibrant evergreen shrubs.
The Entrance
On arrival, guests can enjoy private parking for easy unloading of all self-catering essentials. The front door leads to a small lobby and adjoining WC for a quick freshen up after a day spent exploring the delights of Devonshire.
Cooking, Dining & Other Essentials
For avid foodies, the large kitchen offers plenty of workspace and an additional island unit complete with integrated ceramic hob and oven. Every appliance and essential piece of kitchenware has been thought of to allow creative cooks to flaunt their culinary flair for family and friends. In chillier months, the blue enamel, oil-fired AGA (complete with AGA kettle!) creates beautiful warmth in the open-plan living area and provides a timeless way to rustle up home-bakes and hearty casseroles.
Living
At the heart of the open plan living space is the original Inglenook fireplace, a true focal point of the property, housing a modern wood-burner for ease of use. The log basket is filled (complimentary!) to encourage cosy nights where the popping and crackling of wood provides a soothing soundtrack to heartfelt conversations over a bottle of local wine. With a nod to the modern age, a flat screen television sits in view of the cosy sofas and comforting armchairs so you can enjoy a movie or two to relax.
Sleeping & Bathing
Bedroom One – Sleep soundly in a king-sized bedroom with generous built-in wardrobes to house all of your holiday looks!
Bedroom Two – A large room with two single beds and an additional walk-in wardrobe.
Family Bathroom – Enjoy the indulgent bathroom that features a beautiful, sunken bath with overhead shower and heated towel rail.
Stepping Outside
To the front of the Coach House, guests can sit and sunbathe on the large slate patio complete with chic, teak furniture (with a small Lutyens style bench for young explorers!), whilst the more responsible ones grill up delicious finds from the local grocers on the Weber BBQ. The raised garden boasts plenty of space for all to explore and a cornucopia of wildlife is abundant to watch.
