Perched at the very tip of the Great British mainland, John O'Groats by Together Travel offers true highland sanctuary at the end of the road. With a rich and varied history, this iconic landmark is now home to a breath-taking collection of luxury lodges and self-catering apartments.

Lodge 6 offers couples, families and groups the opportunity to relax in a luxury base camp before setting out for adventures along the Caithness coastline.

The lodge comes complete with a large, wooden deck and outdoor furniture - the ideal spot to sit and bask in the sun with a pair of binoculars (the area is a haven for incredible birdlife) or to snuggle up with a tweed blanket under the stars, hot chocolate in hand.

Stepping inside, the entrance features a practical boot room with storage for sandy shoes and muddy boots, thoughtfully equipped with a washing machine and dryer for your convenience.

The open‑plan living space boasts an impressive glass frontage that floods the lodge with daylight, enhancing indoor/outdoor living and offering panoramic views in any weather. And while the northern climate can be mixed, guests can always enjoy the warmth of in‑built wood‑burners and deep, comfy sofas. A large flat‑screen TV and free Wi‑Fi ensure young explorers have plenty of entertainment on rainy days.

The lodge offers a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, and coffee machine, making it easy to prepare a Highland feast from your holiday home. Its open‑plan layout is perfectly designed, allowing guests to cook, dine, and continue socialising together throughout the day.

Moving into the dining space, a large, 6-seater table plays host to lazy breakfasts, relaxed dinner parties and afternoon grazing, with all crockery and tableware included as standard. 

At the end of the day, choose from three, sumptuous bedrooms to sink into; 

• Bedroom 1: Double room with private ensuite shower room
• Bedroom 2: Double room
• Bedroom 3: Double room that can be converted to a twin upon request

Each room offers Egyptian Cotton bed linen, exceptionally comfy mattresses and other locally sourced soft furnishings.

In addition to the master ensuite the lodge offers a family bathroom, complete with a bathtub. Linen and towels are included, complemented by complimentary toiletries, plus a hairdryer, iron, and ironing board for added convenince during your stay.

Things to know about the property...

• Our properties at John O'Groats have bespoke check-in times, that reflect the unique nature of the site, and how it's operated. John O'Groats welcomes guests to check-in daily between 4pm -9pm. Any arrivals outside of these designated hours will incur a mandatory early or late -arrival fee of £50. This can be pre-booked at the time of making your reservation. If you anticipate an early or late arrival please inform our concierge team during the reservation process or during your pre-arrival call with our operations team.
• The lodges are pet-friendly so please feel free to bring your furry friend along, but please note there is a pet fee of £50 per dog which should be paid prior to arrival. If a pet is not declared and paid for at the time of booking a £100 fee will be charged upon arrival.
