• The Yurt: Enjoy the simple pleasures of life under a canvas, in this rustic, yet cosy, Yurt with a range of practical amenities which make your stay more comfortable. As well as a small dining space, you will find a kitchenette area with a sink and a range of camping cookware and tableware as well as cool box. A camping kettle ensure you can get some hot cocoa on the go as you relax and enjoy the wood burning stove. The circular domed ceiling means good head height even for adults.

With two single beds, the yurt is ideal for children (or adults) looking for a real camping adventure, giving adults the chance to unwind in the more private luxury of the cabin…

• The Cabin: The adjoining wooden cabin brings an elevated level of comfort to your glamping escape while remaining deeply rooted in its verdant surroundings. Rustic interiors and natural materials create a warm, earthy feel, while the large picture window draws the outside in with far‑reaching views across the Yorkshire Dales. From your double bed, you can soak up the changing light and landscapes with a morning coffee in hand. The cabin also offers a cosy wood burning stove for the chillier evenings as well as hanging storage for clothes.

Bathroom Facilities

Despite its back‑to‑nature feel, the Yurt with Cabin includes carefully selected amenities to allow you to find that extra touch of comfort and convenience where you want it. 

• Each yurt has its own WC, meaning there’s no need to wander far during the night.
• A shared, modern and clean shower block is just steps away, with each yurt assigned its own named shower. Facilities include four individual showers and two family‑sized showers.
• High quality linens, robes and towels are provided

Outdoor Living

• Private Outdoor Space: Enjoy your own covered outdoor area surrounded by nature, perfect for alfresco dining, stargazing, or simply soaking up the tranquillity of the estate – complete with outdoor blankets and battery-operated lights.
• Parking: The parking area is located close to the Bivouac Café with just a short walking distance to your yurt.

• Communal camp kitchen: The communal kitchen is equipped with gas hobs, offering a practical and social space to prepare meals.
• Residents’ Lounge access: Relax in the cosy Residents’ Lounge, where complimentary tea and coffee are available, along with electric charging points for added convenience.
• Wood‑fired hot tub: Guests are welcome to enjoy the communal wood‑fired hot tub, a wonderfully relaxing way to unwind under the open sky. Private hire is available.

Pet-Friendly Stays

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (additional charges apply). Guests can enjoy miles of dedicated estate walks, open parkland, and woodland trails, making this an ideal escape for guests travelling with dogs. Dogs are also welcome in the Terrace Restaurant at the hotel and Swinton Bivouac Café.

Access

The glamping properties form part of the 20,000‑acre Swinton estate, with the main hotel located approximately 2.5 miles away, where all guests are warmly welcomed. The hotel is a 10‑minute drive, with cycle hire available or the option of a scenic walk through the estate’s parkland. A Tramper is also available via the Access the Dales scheme, offering access to woodland trails and the Druid’s Temple.
