Harbour Cottage

This stunning 18th century fisherman's cottage in Wells-next-the-Sea offers guests a truly delightful stay on the Norfolk coast. Perfectly located just a short walk from the bustling harbour, the characterful property gives guests easy access to the all the quaint local shops and eateries as well as the award-winning beach which is best known for its golden sands and iconic beach huts. Forming part of the Holkham Estate, it is designated and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and boasts unspoilt landscape as well as sun bathing seals!

With its brick fireplace, crackling wood-burning stove, and plush sofas, the living space exudes comfort, perfect for unwinding after an exciting day at the beach. Simply kick back, relax, and enjoy your favourite show on the Freeview TV.

An open-plan kitchen and dining space comes fully equipped with everything you could need including, a fridge/freezer, washing and hob/oven. There is also a full range of appliances and cookware, including a kettle, toaster and microwave. With wooden beams and rustic appeal, it makes for the perfect intimate meal setting for family or group of friends. 

At the rear of the cottage, a private walled patio with outdoor seating offers a peaceful spot to enjoy alfresco dining or sip a drink as the sun sets, soaking in the evening’s tranquil atmosphere. 

The ground floor is finished with a handy WC just off the living area, adding an extra touch of convenience for guests.

The sleeping accommodations can be found on the first floor and second floor and promise an incredible night's sleep:

First Floor

• Bedroom 1: King size bed, rocking chair, storage and a Smart TV
• Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom with views over the playing field
• These bedrooms are served by a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

Second Floor

• Bedroom 3: Twin bedroom. There is also a futon bed which can be booked for an person if required. Please note there is limited head height in this room.
• This bedroom is ensuite comprising of a bath with handheld shower.

Linen and towels are provided for your stay as well as a hairdryer to make your packing as effortless as possible. 

Things to know about the property...

• There is no private parking at the property but there is a 24-hour car parking of the road leading to the cottage. Freeman Street Car Park.
• Harbour Cottage is a non-smoking property
• The cottage is pet-friendly so please feel free to bring along up to two well-behaved dogs.
• There is limited headroom in the bedroom and ensuite on the second floor
• A travel cot and highchair can be made available upon request
