Said to be the inspiration for Harry Potter's, Diagon Alley, The Shambles is one of the oldest streets in York and is packed to the rafters with treats and trinkets from local shops that hark back to medieval times. When the magic of Harry Potter wears off take the kids to the Jorvik Viking Centre for a unique historical experience.
Many leading visitor attractions promise endless entertainment for all; with the National Railway Museum of York, York Dungeons and the City Wall Experience at Micklegate Bar all located on the doorstep of our York Crescent holiday apartments.
It goes without saying that the spectacular York Minster is also not to be missed and the medieval fortress, Cliffords Tower is just across the river, which offers unrivalled views of the city.
