Explore Cheshire.

Are you looking to explore somewhere new, or feel like treating someone special to a romantic weekend break?

Explore the stunning Cheshire countryside, vibrant towns and pretty villages-and all the many iconic attractions that the County offers.

Foodie festivals, concerts, outdoor pursuits, stately homes and shopping for antiques-just some of the many reasons to book a stay in Cheshire.

Explore the local country lanes and woodland trails; open water swimming or local fishing or simply take a leisurely stroll or cycle down the hill into the village of Goostrey and enjoy a drink at the welcoming village pub.

Jump in the car for a short drive to the vibrant town of Knutsford, and the renowned Tatton park, one of Britain's most complete historic estates, with Tudor Hall, neo-classical mansion, lavish gardens, a deer park and adventure playground too! Tatton is also home to many annual events, such as RHS Tatton flower show, Classic car show and many more.

Knutsford itself, is a bustling market town and was the model for the novel Cranford by renowned author, Elizabeth Gaskell. Wander the narrow streets and independent shops, bars and eateries; or sample the local produce at one of the foodie markets

For those explorers interested in Astronomy, the UNESCO World Heritage site, Jodrell Bank, home to the Lovell Telescope; is less than two miles away, and hosts various events and exhibitions events across the year-including the Science and Music festival-Bluedot. In Spring 2022, Jodrell Bank will open a new space called the First Light pavillion, which includes a gallery dedicated to telling its story, an education hub, café, and an immersive projection space and auditorium.

Further afield is the Peak District, where there are many great days out to be enjoyed nestled within this stunning landscape. Cycle the family friendly Monsal trail, climb the mighty gritstone ridge, The Roaches-or simply sit back and take in the impressive views in a cable car ride at the Heights of Abraham.  For those who prefer to keep the feet a little closer to the ground, why not wander the gardens and trails at the magnificent Chatsworth House Estate or Lyme Park

For a rainy day, the vibrant city of Manchester is just thirty minutes on the train from Goostrey station, where you will find many galleries, musuems, exhibitions, theatres and excellent shopping. Alternatively, the ancient cathedral city of Chester is also thirty minutes by car, where you can take a rowing boat down the River Dee, explore the Roman city walls and amphitheatre. Chester Races are also a superb day out, with regular fixtures across the season.

For evening entertainment closer to home, why not get dressed up and head to the heart of the "golden triangle"-Alderley Edge, a great spot for people watching from one of the many restaurant and bar terraces.
