As we wrap up warm and pull on our favourite wellies and woolly hats, there is no better way to enjoy the darker, autumn evenings than to watch them light up with a bit of magic. Colours bursting across the night sky and the scent of delicious toffee apples create memories that can last a lifetime. There is no reason to miss out on this night of thrills and excitement when there are plenty of bonfire and fireworks events right on the doorstep of our properties. Here are just a few of our favourite ones:
Yorkshire Dales
Nestled in the countryside, the dark, starry skies provide the perfect canvas for an evening of sparklers and fireworks. Bedale Park Firework Display is just a short distance from our Yorkshire Dales lodges and is renowned for being one of the best displays in Yorkshire. The magical lights are set to music and novelty torches are on offer, providing fun for the whole family, but please note that dogs are not permitted at this event. Even closer to the lodges is Reeth Memorial Hall, where there is an enchanting display held on the village green. Prepare to be entertained with the annual 'Judging of the Guy' and an unforgettable show.
Cornwall
Bodmin's annual bonfire, laser show and grand fireworks display takes place at Priory Park Football Field and is just a short 30-minute drive from our Villas at Trewhiddle Village. With an explosive show, food stalls and rides for the kids, there is plenty to get involved with but please note dogs are not permitted at this event. Heartlands Bonfire and Firework Spectacular is also a much-loved annual event which is well worth the drive. Food, music and fairground rides are available throughout the evening as well as the dazzling display.
John O'Groats
You can keep warm and toasty by the bonfire while you dig into burgers and toffee apples at this fantastic riverside show at the Wick Gala Fireworks Display, just a short drive from our cosy, sea view lodges at John O'Groats. With plenty of tasty foody and thrilling entertainment, don't miss this unique experience, watching the fireworks glistening across the water.
Llyn Peninsula
With one of the biggest displays in North Wales, the bonfire and fireworks display at Barmouth Beach is a feast for the eyes. With treats and games for the children, large bonfire and spectacular display, this event promises to set the evening off with a bang. Alternatively, you can enjoy live music and delicious food stalls while you watch the sky light up over Beaumaris Pier. These events promise an evening of wonder for adults and kids, both in stunning locations around an hour from our cottages and apartments at Nature's Point.
York
The vibrant city of York is pretty special any night of the year but there is no harm in adding a little extra magic and sparkle this bonfire night. The Firework Extravaganza at York Acorn Rugby Club will give you front row seats to a sensational show, along with a funfair for the kids and plenty of delicious treats to snack on along the way. All of this is just a short distance from our Riverside Apartments, right at the heart of York.
