With the World Cup dominating TV screens across the country this summer, we're looking to the best beaches on the doorsteps of our locations to practice your trick shots! We've handpicked our favourite sandy stretches, boasting plenty of space for all the family to get involved - so ditch the sofa this season, and get reacquainted with the great outdoors...
BEST FOR TREWHIDDLE
Pentewan Beach
Just a leisurely 30-minute bike ride (or 5-minute drive) from our luxury villas in Trewhiddle, this half a mile of east-facing sandy beach is perfect for practising your technique! Pentewan boasts ample room for football fans, and plenty of space for spectators to sit and sunbathe too. When you've worked up an appetite, our favourite beachside bar; Hubbox is ideal for loading up on mouth-watering snacks and thick shakes!
BEST FOR FISTRAL BEACH
Fistral Beach
A surfing mecca during the summer, this huge expanse of sand is regularly dotted with wetsuit-clad adrenaline junkies, keep to take on the challenging waves just off the shore. There are however plenty of quiet corners to practice your tricks and balancing skills, before heading back to our luxurious, penthouse apartments just a few minutes walk away.
Crantock Beach
The haunting ground of many a North Cornwall visitor in the know, this spectacular beach neighbours the upmarket Crantock village, where guests flock to enjoy the beautiful views and coastal walks. The deep-set beach offers a huge amount of space during high-tide, meaning aspiring players can practice their goal kicks in peace.

Reiss Beach
For late-night soccer sessions, the spectacularly beautiful Reiss Beach (part of Sinclair's Bay in Wick) enjoys sunshine hours until gone midnight during the summer months. Blessed with white sand and azure waters, we can certainly think of worse places to set up home for some outdoor activity!
BEST FOR THE LLYN PENINSULA
Whistling Sands
For a sandy pitch with a difference, Whistling Sands (just a 30 minute drive from our cottages on the coast) is home to an incredibly unique natural phenomenon - the sand underfoot 'squeaks' as you place pressure on it! With a gorgeous cafe right on the sands that sells everything from inflatable balls to epic fries, this hidden cove is perfect for a full day exploring.
