With a menu that evolves around the freshest, locally-caught 'catch of the day' this quirky, coastal restaurant is perfect for a taste of true Devon. Having been awarded a prestigious AA Rosette, the shack comes from humble origins and once played home to an oyster farm over 30 years ago. For those with a penchant for their namesake, the owners have the finest details nailed, ensuring their shellfish are purest after a two-week purification process. Their laid-back but truly welcoming Mediterranean vibe is reflected in the warm colour palette and cosy seating - bliss!

Absolutely one of our favourites when visiting Devon, both the setting and the incredible eats make the School House one to remember during your trip. Located right on the beach and welcoming families and friends (even the four-legged type!), this hidden gem is beautiful all year round. Wild beach walks in winter, followed by creamy hot chocolates by the outdoor fire pit, then in the summer, live music and bbq's by the shore...

The most gorgeous home-bakes, delicious plated from breakfast and brunch all the way through to dinner, this artisan hotspot is a great calling point when out and about exploring nearby Dartmouth. There are plenty of provisions for vegetarians and they stay open 7 days per week.
