Just five minutes from Whitby Train Station, with Whitby Museum, Whitby Beach, Pannett Park and the famous Whitby Abbey all within walking distance you have the perfect family or couple’s escape at your fingertips.
Upon arriving at Albion Cottage, you are welcomed by its characterful external wall mural; depicting the famous 1199 Steps which lead up to St Mary’s Church, a historic Whitby landmark.
A side passageway leads you to the entrance of this delightful old fisherman’s cottage where you are greeted by a compact but cosy reception room, full of traditional charm. With an attractive mix of both period and contemporary furnishings, the room backs on to a small but well-equipped kitchen; complete with a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a full set of crockery and tableware. There is also a convenient foldaway dining table and chairs should you decide to stay in for the evening with a homecooked meal.
Walking up to the first floor you are greeted by a more informal lounge area where you can comfortably settle in for the evening next to the fire, and watch a movie or two on the flat screen TV. Please note the stairs in the property may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
Adjacent to the living space you will find the family bathroom. With its clean, coastal palette, the bathroom features a walk in shower and vanity unit. Guests are also provided with towels and linen during their stay.
On the top floor of the property are two comfortable bedrooms where guests can unwind at the end of a busy day. The master bedroom features a double bed and continues the characterful charm with sloped ceilings and traditional wooden doors. There is also a flat screen TV for those lazy holiday mornings with breakfast in bed.
The second bedroom is more compact with two single beds so would be well-suited for those travelling with little ones. Travel cots can be made available on request but please note that cot linen and highchairs are not provided.
The cottage is pet-friendly but please note that the size and breed of the dog must be disclosed when booking as the property is not recommended for those travelling with larger dogs.
There are parking spaces available at the front of the property.
There is a security deposit if £150 payable for this property which is fully refundable upon satisfactory inspection of the property once guests have departed.
